What is a dual-fuel dryer?

Dual-power dryers are devices designed to utilize two different energy sources to heat the air needed to dry fabric.

Currently, two variants are available:

• From electricity to steam: the first version offers the flexibility to switch from traditional electric heating to steam heating. This is made possible by the integration of a selector that allows you to easily switch between the two energy sources. During the coldest months, it is therefore possible to take advantage of steam generators commonly used in hospitals, retirement homes, and clinics for heating and/or other activities. In summer, however, when the centralized steam system is not in operation, the electric option is preferred.

• Solar and geothermal energy: the latter allows renewable energy sources such as solar or geothermal energy to be harnessed, significantly reducing dependence on traditional energy sources. By using solar panels (non-photovoltaic) or geothermal energy, it is possible to preheat the air at virtually no cost, thereby reducing the use of the electric battery and, consequently, energy consumption by 20 to 30%.

Applications and advantages of dual-power technology
