Gentle wash

Gentlewash treatment of delicate garments

PROFESSIONAL CARE of delicate garments

Gentlewash® is a professional, comprehensive, and precise system for washing and drying delicate fabrics: coats, formal dresses, evening jackets, cashmere sweaters, dresses with embroidery or sequins, stage costumes, theater costumes, and uniforms. The system useswater and specific detergents for treating knits and delicate fabrics: natural-based cleaning agents, dosed and diluted appropriately during the washing process, restore the garment's natural softness, structure, and freshness , making even the subsequent drying phase simple and effective. The finishing operation completes the process, facilitated by the knitwear being made easy to iron.

The benefits of gentle treatment

It guarantees fewer constraints on the fibers.
Dose detergents that protect fibers with extreme precision
Stabilizes colors
Recompose the shape of the texture
Ensures an antistatic finish

THE WASHING PHASE

The patented DWS system independently determines the reduction in resource consumption based on the actual laundry load expressed in kg. The detergent dosage is automatically reduced if the Wavy control system directlyWavy the dosing pumps. The load ratio normally used in professional washing machines is 1:10, i.e., 1 kg of laundry in 10 dm³ of volume. As delicate garments require more volume during washing to prevent felting and excessive friction, our models offer the option of setting a lower load ratio (1:20, 1:45, or freely adjustable). This customization then influences the dosage of chemicals, which are automatically managed by the control system, so that the same concentration is always ensured, regardless of the amount of clothing in the machine.

WASHING TECHNOLOGIES

The Gentlewash® system offers a water-based washing method capable of gently treating even the most delicate garments while preserving their specific properties, even after numerous washes. It isa system because it is based on the teamwork of a washing machine and a dryer: two advanced tools at the disposal of professional operators.
Gentlewash® redistributes the factors that make up the washing action, paying particular attention to time and chemical management . Small doses of mechanical action and thermal energy allow the chemical to act fully at the right time, avoiding waste and preserving the environment. Washing management is fundamentally based on four closely related factors : temperature, mechanical action, chemical action, and time.
This is the famous Sinner diagram, which summarizes washing technology. If, for example, we reduce the temperature and mechanical action, we must increase the time and chemicals so that the sum of the four factors remains constant. And this is where the potential of the Wavy control system comes into its own, allowing complete management of all parameters.

CHECK THE WASHING

The Wavy command Wavy to manage all the typical parameters of the Sinner diagram, but goes even further by allowing you to set up a customized workflow and activate load weighing via DWS (customizable function cycle by cycle) with load ratios other than the classic 1:10.
In addition, all washing parameters can be managed by an experienced operator:
Basket rotation
Amount of water in the tank
Water drain
Heating
Activation of chemicals
Duration
Each parameter can be modified even during the cycle, which means that once the washing process has started, an expert operator can still adjust all the parameters to meet specific needs. Versatility is the keyword that sums up all the features offered by Wavy control, which can also be viewed remotely: with Wi-Fi and TheMind.cloud connectivity, it is possible to customize washing cycles and then send them to the machine, ensuring that washing machines are always up to date, efficient, and high-performing.

the drying phase

There is a fine line between achieving a good result and compromising not only the entire process, but also the quality of the garment. This margin, which separates the garment that is still damp from the one that is too dry, is the objective of the professional drum drying process. When the garment is in the dryer, the buffering function between the fibers provided by the water during washing no longer exists. In its place, we have hot, dry air with all its drying power. The line between dry and too dry is therefore very fine and, once crossed, often leads to irreparable consequences such as friction between fibers, felting, and shrinkage of garments.
There are factors that can potentially damage the fiber, which the Wavy control Wavy GD dryers manage automatically, preventing undesirable effects. However, proper preparation for the drum drying phase begins even before the cycle is selected: the additives loaded during the various washing and rinsing phases also contribute to the optimal preparation of the fiber for drying in the dryer. Professional drying is a process that cares for textile fibers while removing water from the fabric. However, to achieve flawless results, simply controlling the temperature, duration, and rotation of the drum is not enough. What is needed is synergy and correlation in the management of drying parameters. It is therefore no longer a countdown, but rather the phases of a process that regulates itself in terms of intensity and duration, depending on the moisture content of the fabrics.

DRYING TECHNOLOGIES

The fabric to be dried undergoes radical changes in specifications and characteristics between the moment it is loaded into the machine and the end of the process. Here is a schematic representation of what happens: it is clear that, in order to keep the fiber intact, there are many parameters to manage, which are very different and vary significantly. This is why we need a drying pattern that adjusts according to the cycle. A simple countdown to a given temperature cannot meet the specific needs of delicate garments.

The finishing phase

The professional treatment process for delicate fabrics ends with the finishing phase, which gives garments the final touch: whether it's ironing, pressing, or simply steaming a garment, we have the right tool for the job. The range of finishing products is very varied and consists of professional vacuum, blowing, or steam ironing tables, presses equipped with tables of different sizes, mannequins and toppers, steam and ozone generators, irons, and portable steamers.
