Gentlewash treatment of delicate garments

PROFESSIONAL TREATMENT of delicate items

Gentlewash® is a professional, comprehensive, and precise system for washing and drying delicate fabrics: coats, formal dresses, dinner jackets, cashmere sweaters, dresses with embroidery or sequins, stage costumes, theater costumes, and uniforms. A system that uses water and specific detergents for the treatment of knitwear and delicate fabrics: natural-based cleaning agents, dosed and diluted appropriately during the washing process, give the garment its natural softness, structure, and freshness , making even the subsequent drying phase simple and effective. The finishing operation completes the process, facilitated by the fabric being made easy to iron.

The benefits of gentle treatment

Ensures less tension on the fibers
Dispense fiber-protecting detergents with extreme precision.
Stabilize colors
Restores the texture's shape
Guarantees an antistatic finish

THE WASHING STAGE

The patented DWS system independently determines the reduction in resource consumption in relation to the actual load of laundry expressed in kg. The detergent dose is automatically reduced if the Wavycontrol system directly controls the dosing pumps. The load ratio normally used in professional washing machines is 1:10, i.e., 1 kg of laundry in 10 dm3 of volume. Since delicate garments need more volume during washing to avoid felting and excessive friction, our models offer the possibility of adjusting a lower load ratio (1:20, 1:45, or freely configurable). This customization affects the dosage of chemicals, which are automatically managed by the control system, ensuring that the same concentration is always maintained, regardless of the amount of garments in the machine.

WASHING TECHNOLOGY

The Gentlewash® system offers a water-based washing method capable of treating the most delicate garments with a gentle touch, maintaining their specific properties even after numerous washes. It is a system because it is based on the teamwork of a washing machine and a dryer: two advanced tools at the disposal of professional operators.
Gentlewash® redistributes the factors that make up the washing action, paying special attention to time and chemical management. Small doses of mechanical action and thermal energy allow the chemical to act fully at the right time, avoiding waste and protecting the environment. Washing management is based primarily on four closely related factors : temperature, mechanical action, chemical action, and time.
This is the well-known Sinner diagram, which summarizes washing technology. If, for example, we reduce the temperature and mechanical action, we must increase the time and chemicals so that the sum of the four factors remains constant. And this is where the potential of Wavy control is best expressed, allowing complete management of all parameters.

CHECK THE WASH

The Wavy control Wavy manage all the typical parameters of the Sinner diagram, but it goes further, allowing you to configure a customized workflow, as well as activate load weighing through the DWS (customizable cycle-by-cycle function) with load ratios other than the classic 1:10.
In addition to this, all washing parameters can be managed by an experienced operator:
Basket rotation
Amount of water in the tank
Water drainage
Warm-up
Activation of chemical products
Duration
Each parameter can be modified even while the cycle is running, which means that once the washing process has started, the expert operator can continue to intervene on all parameters to meet specific needs. Versatility is the keyword that sums up all the features offered by Wavy control, which can also be seen remotely: with the Wi-Fi connection and connection to TheMind.cloud, it is possible to customize washing cycles and then send them to the machine, so that the washing machines are always up to date, efficient, and perform well.

the drying phase

There is a very fine line between achieving a good result and compromising not only the entire process, but also the quality of the garment. This margin, which separates the garment that is still damp from the one that is too dry, is the goal of the professional tumble drying process. When the garment is in the dryer, the cushioning function between the fibers that water performs during washing no longer exists. Instead, we have hot, dry air with all its drying power. Therefore, the line separating dry from not dry is very fine and, once crossed, often causes irreparable consequences, such as friction between the fibers, felting, and shrinkage of the garments.
There are some factors that can potentially damage the fiber, but the Wavy control Wavy GD dryers automatically manage these, preventing undesirable effects. However, proper preparation for the drum drying phase begins even before selecting the cycle: the additives loaded during the various washing and rinsing phases also contribute to the optimal preparation of the fiber for drying in the dryer. Professional drying is a process that cares for the textile fibers while removing water from the fabric. However, to achieve flawless results, simply controlling the temperature, time, and drum rotation is not enough. Synergy and correlation are necessary in the management of drying parameters. Therefore, it is no longer a matter of a countdown, but of phases of a process that is self-regulating in terms of intensity and duration, depending on the moisture content of the fabrics.

DRYING TECHNOLOGY

The fabric to be dried undergoes radical changes in its specifications and characteristics from the moment it is loaded into the machine until the end of the process. Here is a schematic representation of what happens: it is clear that, in order to keep the fiber intact, there are many parameters to manage, which are very different and involve significant variations. That is why we need a drying diagram that adjusts according to the course of the cycle. A simple countdown to a certain temperature cannot meet the specific needs of delicate garments.

the finishing stage

The professional treatment process for delicate fabrics ends with the finishing phase, which gives the garments the final touch: whether it's shaped ironing, pressing, or simply steaming a garment, we have the right tool for the job. In fact, the range of finishing products is very varied and consists of professional ironing tables with suction, blowing, or steaming functions, presses equipped with tables of different sizes, mannequins and toppers, steam and ozone generators, irons, and portable steamers.
