S250-320/40: ironing pressure control system
The S250-S320/40 are the largest flatwork ironers available. The patented ironing basin is made of extruded and anodised aluminium, with the heating elements directly inserted into the profile, to ensure maximum heat output. The roller pressure adjustment system is standard to optimise ironing quality in every situations (creases and/or difficult fabrics).
The plate, made of extruded and anodised aluminium alloy, ensures an excellent ironing surface, unalterable over time and inert to chemical agents (e.g. chlorine residues in fabrics). The heating elements integrated inside the ironing plate, then, allow excellent ironing performance precisely because the heat is generated from the heart of the appliance. To achieve a perfect result, however, in addition to having a smooth ironing surface that is unalterable at any temperature and can guarantee high thermal performance, a professional ironer must also be equipped with a high-quality roller. The S250-S320/40 have a perforated roller, equipped with a vacuum engine, with a special moving plate structure (MAXPRESS®) that simply requires a layer of NOMEX® felt. This roller/plate system is capable of ironing even wet linen with up to 40-45% humidity.
Available with electrical or high-pressure steam heating system , these large ironing machines are single-sided, meaning they can be placed against the wall and manage by a single operator. They are equipped with a roller speed regulation system (with inverter technology), which allows the ironing of wetter linen or very difficult creases. The vacuum engine and the perforated roller with moving plates, are able to eliminate the steam generated during the ironing process, while improving the working environment and the performances. These flatwork ironers are also equipped with a handy banded inlet and an innovative brush take-off system that does not compromise the durability and quality of the roller cover.
The operator protection systems of S250-S320/40 ironers are: a foot pedal for the temporary stop of the roller, which allows the linen to be spread on the feeder, a manual emergency button and a non-invasive finger-protection band, which reverses the roller's direction in the event of incorrect manoeuvres. These large devices naturally have redundant safety systems and alarm circuits. Such as the standard electronic and electromechanical safety thermostat, which prevents unwanted overheating: it will automatically switch off the machine and moving the hot plate away from the roller if the equipment will be left unattended.
The ST46 control system standard on our largest machines (S250-S320/40), in addition to the ST23 features, allows to modulate the suction power, optimising consumption and guaranteeing excellent ironing quality (no risk of overheating, better heat distribution, lower consumption). It also allows to create or customise ironing programmes (wool, delicate fabrics, etc.) and ensures perfect ironing of creases and difficult fabrics thanks to the control of ironing pressure (via hydraulic press).
